HIWIN HISTORY
The company was founded in 1989 by Eric Y. T. Chuo.
- In 1993, it expanded into the U.S. and Germany.
- In 1997, HIWIN Microsystem was established in Taiwan.
- In 2000, a branch was opened in Switzerland.
- In 2001, a branch was opened in the Czech Republic.
- In 2003, a branch was established in Japan (Tokyo).
- In 2018, a branch was opened in Italy.
The main division and two factories are located in Germany, while the primary production facilities are in Taiwan.
