Gantry Cranes:

Gantry Cranes are most commonly used for moving heavy loads outdoors. Gantry crane consists of a single-girder or double-girder, two metal poles and moving hoist or trolley. Electric motors are used to power a gantry crane. The crane motors are developed to sustain high starting torque with low starting current. The motors are designed to accommodate stresses due to frequent starts/stops and reversals. Bigger cranes are equipped with a cabin. Small cranes can be controlled using remote control or radio control devices.
